William H. Miller
Board Member
Recently moved to, living and working in Myrtle Beach, SC, William H. Miller draws from his years as a fine artist with a successful studio in Houston, TX in the Washington Avenue Arts District. In December 2014, Billy relocated to the Myrtle Beach area to continue his art making, adding new collectors and becoming a major force in the art scene in South Carolina. He is thrilled to be invited to become a Board Member of the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum of Myrtle and give back and play a role in the local art community of Myrtle Beach.
Since opening his studio/gallery in 2015, William has been a Winner & Finalist for Best Artist and Best Gallery in the Happening List. He was also instrumental in starting the artist networking group ArtEscape Creative Artist Group which also won Best Networking Group. William is a member of local arts organizations – Seacoast Artists Group, Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild, South Carolina Water Media Society, Create Conway, and an appointed member of the City of Myrtle Beach Cultural & Art Committee. Recently working with local businesses and gallery owners became a founding member of the First Friday Art Walk in the downtown Five Points area of Myrtle Beach.
