Boasting more than 30 years in the special event and catering industry, William “Bill” Jones, retired CEO of Cherry Elm, has left his mark on every aspect of the catering and management business. His path has led him in support roles at the Charlotte Coliseum- Charlotte Hornets; Charlotte Convention Center; Miami Beach Convention Center; Block Buster Amphitheater; Carowinds Pavilion; Celebration Station; Raleigh Walnut
Creek Amphitheater; William Brice Stadium; Clemson Memorial Stadium; Charlotte Knights Baseball Stadium; Bi-Lo Center and Columbia Metropolitan Convention, among others. His celebrity profile exposure is diverse and unmatched with such world-
renowned events as Elton John, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, and The Four Tops.
Mr. Jones exhibits a passion for his work. An avid volunteer, Mr. Jones believes in giving back through active participation in his community such as Five Points Business Association (2012-2018), Pioneer Bowl VII (2009) and Gulf Coast Classic Committee Member for Alabama State University (2008) and the MBDA Board of Directors (present).
His professional demeanor, knowledge, and training have led many to follow in his shoes. As a tribute to his successes, Mr. Jones gives back to those just starting out by serving as a role model and expert in customer care, communication, problem solving, relationship building and growing his successors through training and leadership.
