Meagan Michal
Habitat For Humanity
Meagan Michal is the Executive Director at Habitat for Humanity of Horry County, with the mission of putting God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. The organization is currently opening a 2nd ReStore location, building new homes across the county, creating long term systems change and capacity building for municipalities’ role in the development of housing for everyone, delivering financial literacy education, and providing tens of thousands of volunteer hours to the Horry County community. Meagan joined Habitat 3 years ago to create the Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative for the affiliate. In the last 3 years, the new initiative launched a home repair program to serve over 70 families, advocated for over $750k of public and private investment in a disinvested park, and facilitated growing groups of residents who are crossing divides and pursuing wholeness in their communities. Prior to Habitat, Meagan served in leadership roles at Tech Talent & Strategy, a national company that specializes in diversifying tech talent pipelines through customized training programs for organizations of all sizes. The Coastal Carolina University grad holds her bachelor’s in marketing and master’s in international trade from a CCU partner school, ESCE, in Paris, France. She recently completed two terms of service for the City of Myrtle Beach’s Technology Advisory Group. Meagan and her husband are foster parents, home DIYers, and wannabe-avid cyclists. You can find them walking to eat anywhere in downtown MB!
